Leonard Pouder, owner of LHP services has been designing and building residential landscapes since 1980. He grew up in the nursery business, studied horticulture, landscape design, architecture, and environmental science.
He has successfully completed thousands of projects ranging from small foundation plantings to full property renovations.
"My goal is to design and install landscapes that make people happy and don't harm the environment. At the end of the day, what matters most to me is that my customers are happy.
"Meeting new clients , getting to understand their objectives, then creating
a landscape that works for them is very rewarding for me . Listening is a big part of it.
It makes me feel like I've done a good job when I get emails and calls from clients saying they love their property or can't believe the difference the new landscaping has made".
We offer free consultations and are based out of Sharon, CT, Bedford, NY, and have worked all over the northeast.
Having owned a successful garden center and landscape company for over thirty five years, Leonard is highly experienced and knowledgeable in all areas of Landscaping, Organic plant and property care, grading and drainage , plant and shrub care, and disease and insect control.
Although he is a licensed pesticide applicator Leonard always prefers to use organic controls and methods over traditional chemical pesticides.
"It just doesn't make sense. If you can avoid exposing yourself, others, our food, water, soil, air and planet with harmful pesticides, and can effectively use organic alternatives, why wouldn't you ?
Likewise for my designs. I always try to create beautiful landscapes that are low impact on our environment, have little or no pesticide needs and don't fight Mother Nature ".
